Yenvay membership
The necessary things, plainly said.
These are the agreements for Yenvay membership. They explain what the service collects, the choices that remain yours and the care expected inside another member’s living room. The optional public-web addendum explains how to make an individual post available outside Yenvay.
Agreement one
Terms of Use
Version 2026-09-08-membership-v1 · Last updated September 8, 2026
These Terms govern access to Yenvay. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use Yenvay.
The membership agreement above retains its September 8 version. The October 14 public-web addendum applies when you separately choose to enable that optional feature for a post. Creating an account, continuing to use Yenvay or having previously selected Public does not enable public-web publication.
The Wander pictures and review notice below explains the current contribution costs, moderation actions and author editing window. It does not change ownership of your content or automatically enable public-web sharing.
1. Eligibility and accounts
Adults aged 18 or older who are legally able to agree to these Terms can join directly by creating an account and confirming their email. No application or administrator approval is required for adult signup. Members aged 13–17 may join only through an eligible parent or legal guardian’s household invitation and supervision. Children under 13 cannot join. You must provide an accurate date of birth and may not bypass the age or guardian checks. Give accurate account information, use invitations only as intended, keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
2. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Yenvay a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and show it according to your visibility selections. This license ends when content is deleted, except for reasonable backup, legal and technical retention.
3. Your responsibilities
Only upload content you have the right to use. Do not use Yenvay to break the law; infringe intellectual-property, privacy or publicity rights; harass, deceive or exploit others; distribute malware or spam; scrape the service; bypass access controls; manipulate points or invitations; or interfere with the service. Do not use another person’s photograph, private information or location without permission.
4. Shared and public spaces
You are responsible for the visibility setting applied to your content. Public content may be viewed or copied beyond your intended audience. We may remove or restrict content or accounts when reasonably necessary to protect members, comply with law or enforce these Terms.
5. Invitations, Yennaday and unlocks
Invitations, Yennaday points, levels, rooms and other unlocks are service features. Unless Yenvay expressly states otherwise, they have no cash value, are not transferable outside permitted features and do not create property, investment or redemption rights. We may correct errors, reverse abuse and update feature rules.
6. Third-party services
Yenvay may use or link to third-party services and information sources. We do not control them and cannot guarantee that book details, images, valuations, biographies or other third-party information are complete, current or error-free.
7. Availability and service changes
Yenvay continues to develop. Features and availability may change. Keep a separate copy of important records, photographs or writing. We aim to provide a reliable experience but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.
8. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security threats, legal requirements or conduct that materially harms Yenvay or its members.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Yenvay is a cataloguing, reflection and social tool, not a professional appraisal, archival-preservation, financial, legal, medical or safety service. To the extent permitted by law, Yenvay will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or loss of data, profits, goodwill or opportunity. Nothing here limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes, U.S. law and contact
We may update these Terms as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and, where required, presented for renewed acceptance. These Terms are governed by applicable United States law without limiting rights that cannot be waived under state consumer law. Questions may be sent to support@yenvay.com.
An optional sharing choice
Public-web sharing addendum
Version 2026-10-14-public-web-v1 · October 14, 2026
This addendum supplements the Terms of Use only when you affirmatively choose Enable public web for an eligible post. Review the displayed text and author details and agree to publish them before enabling it. Each post needs its own choice. Existing membership acceptance and earlier Public settings do not provide that permission.
1. What you are publishing
Public within Yenvay normally means eligible signed-in members. Public web makes the selected post readable by anyone without an account. Yenvay may list it in its public-post directory and sitemap so that search engines can discover it. Search results may include its words, title and author details.
Because the page is available without signing in, member blocking and a private room do not prevent anonymous reading of text you deliberately publish on the web. Use Turn off public web if you no longer want that text openly available.
Eligible adult authors can publish their own public Yennyay text, a collection item's title, subtitle and public story, their own eligible accepted sticky-note text, or an eligible voice note's caption. The page also shows the author's display name and Yenntag. Voice recordings, uploaded photographs, private diaries, purchase and loan records, contact fields and private planner details are not included. Text you put in a public title, story, note or caption is still text you are choosing to publish: remove private information from it before enabling this option.
Eligibility and existing access restrictions still apply. Supervised teen contributions, shared household or organisation collections, Wedding planning, age-restricted content and voice notes with adult or warning labels are not eligible for public-web publication. Collection posts require the relevant public room and collection permissions; travel entries also require the itinerary-sharing setting. A keeper cannot enable public-web publication for another person's sticky note.
2. Your permission and responsibilities
You keep ownership of your content. Enabling this feature permits Yenvay to display the selected text and attribution publicly, provide crawlable pages and links, and allow ordinary search-engine crawling, indexing and search-result excerpts for those pages. This is a limited exception to the Terms' restriction on scraping; it does not authorize bypassing access controls, harvesting member-only content, or using content for model training. No additional general license to third parties is granted by this addendum.
Publish only material you have the right to share openly, including any quotations or information about another person. The Community Guidelines and reporting rules continue to apply. Public-web publication is not an endorsement or verification of the content by Yenvay.
3. Edits, removal and search results
While this option remains enabled, later edits to the selected text or your displayed author details can appear on the public page. Review your sharing choice before adding private information. Turning off public web stops the post from being served by Yenvay's public-post page and removes it from new directory and sitemap responses. Deletion, deactivation or loss of required eligibility also makes the page unavailable. If eligibility or visibility is later restored while the option is still enabled, the public page can become available again; turn the option off to end that standing choice.
Search engines decide whether and when to crawl, index, rank, update or remove results. Yenvay does not guarantee that a post will appear in search or that an old result will disappear immediately. Search services and other people may retain excerpts, cached results or copies they already obtained. Disabling publication cannot recall those copies. For help with a privacy concern, contact support@yenvay.com.
4. Recording your choice
Yenvay records the post reference, author, enabled or disabled state, this addendum's version and relevant consent and publication times to operate the feature and account for the choice you made. This record is separate from membership-policy acceptance and is not itself public. Turning publication off retains the disabled record; permanently deleting the profile removes its publication records from the application database. Backups, provider logs, support correspondence and legal or security retention are described separately in the Privacy Policy.
Intentional contributions
Wander pictures and review
Feature and privacy notice · October 14, 2026
Pictures with a purpose
Wander contributions should concern something you are collecting, noticing, learning, reading or experiencing. You may add one to five pictures to a written thought and select its purpose. Pictures need context and descriptions; a carousel does not autoplay. Upload only material you have the right to share, and consider other people's privacy, identifying details and locations before publishing.
The public-thought cost is 100 Yennaday plus 50 for each attached picture: 150 for one picture and 350 for five. The total is displayed before publication. These are in-app points, not a cash payment. A successful publication is charged once; retrying the same request or submitting a moderation edit for review does not add a publication charge. A definitively rejected publication is not charged. Removal does not refund the original cost.
Who can see pictures
Wander pictures are stored with Yenvay's file-service provider, Supabase, and associated with their author's post, selected purpose, order, descriptions and publication record. Unpublished uploads are private to their author. Published pictures are available to eligible signed-in members according to current post access, block and moderation rules, even when the author's living room is private. They are not included in the anonymous public-web text page or a collection viewing link.
The app prepares a resized copy for publication and keeps its description and position with the post. Keep your originals separately. Authorized administrators may inspect the contribution and associated pictures to investigate reports and review proposed changes. Blocking or removal stops newly authorized reads but cannot recall pictures another person has already saved.
Hide, remove and request review
Administrators can hide a contribution from Wander or remove it with a reason visible to its author. A hidden contribution can be restored by an administrator. A removed contribution remains available to its author in Wander → More Wander tools → Your removed posts for 30 days from the original removal. The displayed deadline is the end of the author editing and resubmission window.
During that window, the author can prepare changes and submit a proposal for review. Saving, resubmitting or receiving a decision within the same removal case does not extend its deadline. If a contribution is approved or restored and is later removed again, that new removal starts a new 30-day window. A proposal stays off Wander until an administrator approves it. A proposal submitted before the deadline may be reviewed afterwards; this does not extend the author's access or guarantee approval or a response time. Removing a collection contribution from Wander does not delete the underlying collected object or its private records.
Hiding or removing a contribution also turns off its associated public-web publication. Restoration or review approval does not enable public-web publication again; the author must make that separate choice. Search engines and other recipients may retain earlier copies independently.
Safety records and retention
To operate the review process, Yenvay keeps the relevant contribution reference, author, reason, status, deadline, proposed changes and dated administrative decisions. Authors see their own available case; authorized administrators can see records needed for moderation. The 30-day window describes author access to editing and review, not automatic physical erasure of all originals, moderation records, files, provider logs or backups. Information retained for unresolved review, abuse prevention, legal requirements or technical recovery follows the retention criteria in the Privacy Policy. For deletion or other privacy requests, contact support@yenvay.com.

1. Information we collect
- Account and eligibility information: email address, Yenntag, display name, date of birth, account type, confirmation status, invitations and relevant guardian or household records. Authentication is handled through Supabase. If you register a supported passkey, the authentication service handles its registration information and the name you give it.
- Information you choose to keep: profile notes and links; collections and their item details; photographs and uploaded files; stories, diary entries, correspondence, recommendations, comments and public voice notes; and information entered into features such as travel, study, astrology or wedding planning. Some entries may concern other people. Share only information you are entitled to use, and avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
- Preferences and interactions: interests selected during onboarding, room appearance, visibility choices, collection-link settings, friendships, follows, shared-space membership, invitations, Yennaday, levels, feature progress, dated policy-acceptance records and separate per-post public-web publication choices, versions and timestamps.
- Service and security information: information sent when your device connects to the app and its providers, such as an IP address, browser or device information, request details and authentication or security events. Browser and device storage is described below.
- Support and safety information: messages, complaint details, reports, moderation reasons and decisions, removed-contribution deadlines, proposed edits and review submissions, and related records you submit when requesting help, reporting content or exercising a privacy right.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure your account; check age and invitation eligibility; save and display your collections and writing; carry out the searches and sharing actions you request; apply access settings; operate household and social features; calculate points and feature progress; send account and recovery messages; respond to support and reports; diagnose technical problems; prevent misuse; and meet applicable legal obligations.
You choose whether to use optional features such as catalogue lookup, uploads and public contributions. Your browser or device may ask for permission when a feature needs access, for example to record a voice note or select a photograph.
3. What other people can see
Audience controls depend on the feature. Supported profile, room, collection and contribution settings include private, friends-only or public audiences; shared diaries, albums, households and organisations have their own membership or permission controls. Check the setting on the content you are sharing. A collection’s public setting does not make every associated private diary or restricted record public.
Public and shared content can be read, copied or downloaded by people allowed to view it. Later deletion or a visibility change cannot recall copies someone has already made. A public label within Yenvay does not mean every record is available without signing in. Email addresses, dates of birth and policy-acceptance records are not ordinary public profile fields.
Public web is a separate, optional choice for each eligible post. It is off unless its author enables it after reviewing the text and attribution and accepting the public-web addendum. The selected text, display name and Yenntag then become available to anonymous readers, search crawlers and search results. This does not open the author's whole room, collection or private records. Edits remain public while the option is enabled and the post is eligible. Disabling it, removing the post or losing eligibility stops new reads from Yenvay's public-post service; search results and copies may persist independently.
Anyone with the link can view is a different collection setting. It creates a revocable, view-only link to a limited collection page without changing the usual collection audience. Recipients can forward it. These pages are marked to discourage search indexing and are not listed in the public-post directory or sitemap, but the link is not an identity check or a guarantee of secrecy. Age-restricted collections still require an eligible signed-in account. Owner stories and the selected itinerary or catalogue information may be visible; private diaries, acquisition records, loan contacts, other contributors' content and uploaded photographs are excluded. Check the sharing preview and text before sending a link.
Profile links help another person find your Yenvay profile after signing in and request friendship under existing eligibility rules. Sharing a profile link does not accept a friend request, change room or collection visibility, or grant private access. Profile routes are marked against search indexing; they are separate from opted-in public posts.
Wander photographs and removed contributions follow the member access and review rules in the Wander pictures and review notice. Photographs are not part of public-web text publication. Moderation proposals are private to the author during the available editing window and authorized administrators, and they do not appear in Wander until approved.
4. When information is shared
Information is processed by providers needed to operate Yenvay, including Supabase for authentication, database and file services, Expo/EAS for app hosting, and providers used to deliver account email and support. Information is also shared with other members according to the action you take and the relevant access settings. We may disclose information when required by law, to address abuse or security issues, to protect people’s rights, or in connection with a business transaction involving Yenvay.
When you enable public-web publication, anyone can read the displayed post and author details, including search engines and people outside Yenvay. Search providers operate their own services and decide what to index or retain. Collection links instead disclose the limited shared page to people who have the link, subject to any required age checks.
Catalogue and place searches send the search terms or reference you supply to the relevant information provider, through Yenvay’s lookup services where implemented. Providers used by available features include Wikimedia services, Open Library, Apple’s music and podcast catalogue, Crossref, Geoapify, GBIF, Open Food Facts and selected brand websites; some study searches may use Brave Search. For example, place lookup sends the place you search for, and podcast lookup sends a search term or an Apple podcast reference. Manual entry remains available in supported collection editors.
Some catalogue photographs and other external assets load from their original providers. Loading those assets or opening an external link connects your device to that provider, which can receive connection information such as your IP address. External sites, listening services and the separate marketing website have their own privacy and storage practices.
5. International processing
Yenvay’s service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Applicable protections depend on the provider, processing activity and law. Contact support if you need information about a particular transfer or provider used for your account.
6. Retention and account deletion
Account information and saved content are retained to provide the service while you use it. Retention also depends on the type of record, account and sharing arrangements, security needs, unresolved disputes and legal obligations. This notice does not set a single retention period for every category. Support can explain retention relevant to a specific request.
To start permanent deletion, open Me → Settings → Account and choose Begin permanent deletion. The flow asks for your current password and the confirmation DELETE. Shared ownership or other outstanding records may require handover first. If cleanup cannot finish, follow the message to retry or contact support; an incomplete request is not confirmation that everything has been removed.
Some shared records belonging to other people, copies already downloaded by others, and records subject to legal or security retention may remain. Deactivation and signing out are different from permanent deletion. You can also request deletion without signing in by contacting support; do not send your password.
Public-web choice records contain references and consent metadata, not a saved copy of the published post. A disabled record can remain after you turn off publication or delete the underlying post, to retain a record of the sharing choice; profile deletion removes those records from the application database. That does not erase copies held by search engines or other recipients, or promise instant removal from provider backups and logs.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
You can edit supported account and profile details, change available audience settings, remove your content where the feature allows it and manage account access in Settings. Feature exports, such as collection CSV or cookbook PDF, contain the records described by that export; they are not a complete backup of your account, messages, private diaries or original media.
Use a post's Public web → Turn off public web control to withdraw its web-publication choice. Use the collection's Share settings to turn off or replace a collection link. These controls are independent. See the sharing guide for their scope and search-removal limits.
Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, receive a portable copy, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising where relevant. You may also have a right to complain to a privacy authority or appeal a request decision.
Send your request to support@yenvay.com, or use the privacy category in the in-app complaint form. Explain your request and provide enough information to identify your account. We may need to verify ownership before providing or changing personal information. Do not send passwords, recovery links or unnecessary identity documents. If you disagree with a response, reply to request a review.
8. Age eligibility
Adults aged 18 or older can join directly. Members aged 13–17 need an eligible parent or legal guardian’s household invitation and supervision; children under 13 cannot join. Registration uses the date of birth supplied to check eligibility, and supervised memberships include guardian consent and household records. Teen accounts have additional privacy and access restrictions. Contact support if you believe a child has joined without meeting these requirements, or if a date of birth needs correction.
9. Security
Yenvay uses account authentication and access controls to restrict protected features and records. No service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password, keep your device secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to support. Do not send anyone your password or account-recovery link.
10. Cookies and browser or device storage
Yenvay uses browser and device storage to keep sign-in working and remember choices involved in using the app. Similar rules can apply to cookies and other storage even when no cookie file is used. The main uses are:
- Sign-in and account recovery
- Session information keeps you signed in. Separate, temporary recovery information helps a password reset continue after a page refresh in the same browser tab.
- Your collecting choices and preferences
- Storage can remember collection interests and the room appearance selected during onboarding, recently used collections, and help or getting-started panels you have dismissed.
- Faster display of catalogue information
- Cached brand-logo references reduce repeated catalogue lookups. Your browser also manages ordinary caches for files such as app code and images.
These uses support sign-in and the features or choices described above. Accepting membership policies is not permission for advertising tracking. If optional tracking is introduced, we will explain it and ask for permission where required before enabling it.
You can manage cookies and site data in your browser settings or clear Yenvay’s app data using your device settings. Clearing storage may sign you out, interrupt recovery or remove local preferences and unfinished choices. It does not delete saved server-side collections or your account. Use the account-deletion process or contact support for that.
External websites and media providers, including the separate marketing site, may use different storage. Read their notices when visiting them.
11. Changes and contact
This notice may be updated as Yenvay and its practices change. The date above identifies the latest clarification. Material changes will be communicated appropriately, with additional consent where required. Questions about this notice, personal information, or a privacy request should be sent to support@yenvay.com.
