Terms of Use

These Terms govern access to Yenvay’s US private beta. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use Yenvay.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these Terms. You must provide an accurate date of birth and may not bypass the age check. Give accurate account information, use invitations only as intended, keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Yenvay a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and show it according to your visibility selections. This license ends when content is deleted, except for reasonable backup, legal and technical retention.

3. Your responsibilities

Only upload content you have the right to use. Do not use Yenvay to break the law; infringe intellectual-property, privacy or publicity rights; harass, deceive or exploit others; distribute malware or spam; scrape the service; bypass access controls; manipulate points or invitations; or interfere with the service. Do not use another person’s photograph, private information or location without permission.

4. Shared and public spaces

You are responsible for the visibility setting applied to your content. Public content may be viewed or copied beyond your intended audience. We may remove or restrict content or accounts when reasonably necessary to protect members, comply with law or enforce these Terms.

5. Invitations, Yennaday and unlocks

Invitations, Yennaday points, levels, rooms and other unlocks are service features. Unless Yenvay expressly states otherwise, they have no cash value, are not transferable outside permitted features and do not create property, investment or redemption rights. We may correct errors, reverse abuse and update feature rules.

6. Third-party services

Yenvay may use or link to third-party services and information sources. We do not control them and cannot guarantee that book details, images, valuations, biographies or other third-party information are complete, current or error-free.

7. Availability and beta changes

Yenvay is an evolving private beta. Features, availability and stored information may change as the service is tested. Do not use the beta as the only copy of important records, photographs or writing. We aim to provide a reliable experience but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.

8. Suspension and ending use

You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security threats, legal requirements or conduct that materially harms Yenvay or its members.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Yenvay is a cataloguing, reflection and social tool, not a professional appraisal, archival-preservation, financial, legal, medical or safety service. To the extent permitted by law, Yenvay will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or loss of data, profits, goodwill or opportunity. Nothing here limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes, U.S. law and contact

We may update these Terms as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and, where required, presented for renewed acceptance. These Terms are governed by applicable United States law without limiting rights that cannot be waived under state consumer law. Questions may be sent to privacy@yenvay.com.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Yenvay handles personal information when you visit its website or use its web application and related services.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: email address, encrypted authentication credentials, invitation information, Yenntag, display name, date of birth, age-verification result and account type.
• Profile and collection content: profile notes, links, collection records, photographs, diary entries, quotes, reading notes, locations you choose to record, recommendations and other content you add.
• Social and activity information: friendships, follows, household membership, privacy selections, invitations, Yennaday, levels, feature activity and dated records of the policy versions you accepted.
• Technical information: device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, logs, crash data, security events and essential cookies or similar storage.
• Communications: information you send when requesting help, reporting content or exercising a privacy right.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; verify age eligibility; provide collections, notes, social and household features; apply visibility choices; calculate invitations, Yennaday and levels; respond to support; prevent misuse; maintain and improve the service; and comply with legal obligations.

3. What other people can see

You control whether supported profile and collection content is private, friends-only or public. Content you make public may be seen, copied or shared by others. Dates of birth, email addresses and compliance records are not displayed on member profiles.

4. When information is shared

We may share information with vendors that provide hosting, database, authentication, storage, security, analytics or customer-support services; with other members according to your privacy choices; in a business transaction involving Yenvay; or where disclosure is required to protect users, enforce our agreements or comply with law.

5. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable law requires it, recognized safeguards are used for international transfers.

6. Retention

We keep personal information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal obligations. When content or an account is deleted, information is deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period, though limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or where legally required.

7. Your choices and U.S. privacy rights

Depending on the state where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, receive a portable copy, and opt out of certain uses. Yenvay does not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Requests may be sent to privacy@yenvay.com. We may need to verify your identity.

8. Age eligibility

Yenvay is limited to people aged 18 or older. We use the date of birth entered during registration to verify eligibility. Dates of birth remain private. If we learn that an ineligible person created an account, we may suspend or delete the account and associated personal information as appropriate.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards. No service can guarantee absolute security, so use a unique password and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

10. Third-party links, cookies and changes

Third-party services have their own privacy practices. Yenvay uses storage or cookies necessary to operate the service and may use additional analytics if disclosed. We may update this policy as the service develops and will communicate material changes appropriately.

Enter another person’s living room as you would enter their home: with permission, curiosity and care.

• Do not harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate or target another person.
• Do not publish hate, sexual exploitation, graphic violence, spam or unlawful content.
• Respect private and friends-only rooms, shared diaries and sticky-note discussions.
• Never copy another member’s private notes, photographs, location or collection information without permission.
• Credit creators and sources, and only upload material you have the right to use.
• Do not manipulate invitations, friendships, Yennaday or other rewards.
• Use Yenvay’s report and block controls when another member makes the space unsafe.

Yenvay may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts when needed to protect members and enforce these guidelines. Safety or privacy concerns may also be sent to privacy@yenvay.com.
